A little about Robert
Robert Horton is an internationally awarded gold medal portrait photographer with over 40 years of experience in the field. He has a diverse range of talents, including event, food, boudoir, wedding, landscape, and product photography, but he is particularly known for his stunning portraits.
Robert's passion for photography started early on, with his own darkroom where he developed film, transparencies, and created prints on various styles of papers. He has honed his skills and expertise over the years, continuously pushing the boundaries of his craft.
In terms of education, Robert holds a Diploma of Photo Imaging, which he achieved at a distinction level. He was recognized as the student of the year and is also a qualified trainer and assessor with a TAE40116 qualification.
His exceptional work and dedication have been acknowledged through numerous awards and accolades. In 2022, Robert received the Most Diverse Freelance Portrait Photographer award in Sydney from the APAC Australian Enterprise Awards.
Among his notable achievements are the E.NPS title in May 2023, the PSA Gold Medal Art Life in Skopie, North Macedonia in November 2022, the NPS Gold Medal Kantara Photo Awards in Nicosia, Cyprus in 2022 and winning the Open Monochrome FIAP Gold Medal HAP International Salon 2021. He has also received several other medals, certificates of merit, and honorable mentions in prestigious international photography salons and exhibitions.
